Published 03/17/2013, Duluth News Tribune

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources reminds ice anglers in Northeastern Minnesota of ice shelter removal dates on lakes north of U.S. Highway 2. Dark houses, fish houses and portable shelters must be off the ice of inland lakes no later than midnight on Monday, March 18. For Minnesota-Canada border waters, the deadline for removal is March 31. Anglers are advised to remove shelters earlier if ice conditions warrant.
