Let’s pause today — with temperatures dipping again, part of another freeze-thaw cycle that can bring its own underground destruction — to recognize and to pat the backs of those utility workers who go out in the frigid subzero cold, in the middle of the night and in screaming protest of every natural instinct to the contrary to find those breaks, to fix them and to get our water flowing again.
