Buoyed, no doubt, by the Election Day vote that rejected defining marriage in the Minnesota Constitution, several gay and lesbian St. Louis County employees, joined by supporters, approached their elected County Board this week. Among other things, they asked about extending to gay and lesbian employees and their partners sick time, funeral leave and other benefits married employees already receive.Word count: 329
