Local view: Discrimination against anyone has no place in constitution

I have been a minister for almost 30 years, and during that time it has been my great privilege, pleasure and responsibility to officiate at close to 200 weddings and more than a dozen union services in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois and Vermont. In Michigan, Indiana and Illinois same-sex partnerships are not sanctioned by the state. In Vermont, marriages between committed same-sex couples have been legally recognized since 2009.
