Here is only a partial list of things for which a person is required to show an ID: to buy beer, Drano, Sudafed, cigarettes or a lighter; to get on a plane or into the Democratic National Convention; to talk to Eric Holder or Michelle Obama; to open a bank account; cash a check; enter a casino; drive an auto; legally buy a gun; purchase ammo; see the doctor; have surgery; pick up prescriptions; walk into Costco; or return an item to a store.
