Reader's view: Pedestrians need to use common sense

While walkers may have the absolute right-of-way, they should not make assumptions with their own safety and step into the street at anytime and anywhere. It would be much safer for drivers and walkers alike if pedestrians would use common sense and take a look before stepping into or pushing a stroller into traffic. Courtesy and awareness would benefit all of us.
