Best Bets: Renegade Theater Company presents Tennessee Williams’ "The Eccentricities of a Nightingale" and "Summer and Smoke"

First there was “Summer and Smoke,” which premiered on Broadway in 1947. People dug it. But playwright Tennessee Williams wasn’t satisfied so he wrote a new version. “The Eccentricities of a Nightingale” was completed in 1951 — though it took much longer for anyone to produce it.
