Reader's view: Government crackdown could force closing of mines

In reaction to atmospheric haze over northern parks and wilderness lands, including the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, federal land managers are pushing the state of Minnesota to get tougher on electrical utilities and taconite companies that haven’t been installing the best-available pollution controls, as the law requires (“Feds critical of how Minnesota polices haze over parks,” March 25).
