Review: DSSO presents evening of head-spinning variety

The program proclaimed “Defiant Moments,” and candidate conductor Bohuslav Rattay programmed three pieces of music for the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra that were each a bit unconventional for their unveiling. But perhaps the most defying part of Saturday night at Symphony Hall was the head-spinning variety of styles that Maestro Rattay brought forth from the orchestra.
