The Anishinaabe people and their allies deserve thanks for standing in prayer, in pride and in nonviolence as they gathered around the sacred staff that was planted at the Civic Center last fall, both before and during the arrival of the white supremacist group (“Shouts, snowballs greet white supremacists rally,” March 4).
