Faces & Names: UMD’s Magnuson honored

Vince Magnuson, former vice chancellor for academic administration at the University of Minnesota Duluth, was presented the William Plater Award for Leadership in Civic Engagement from the American Association of State Colleges and Universities on Monday at UMD’s Weber Hall. Presenting the award was George Mehaffy, AASCU’s Vice President for Academic Leadership and Change and leader of the organization’s Red Balloon Project, an initiative to redesign undergraduate education in the 21st century.
