Reader’s view: Bureaucrats tempt people into racism victimhood

Rather than engage in a self-perpetuating conversation about racism, let’s extinguish the conversation altogether. Recently, the race industry, using 15 local agencies sustained by public and private money, tempted once again some local citizens to claim victimhood. With that false petition in hand, those bureaucrats then publicly accused the rest of the city of being racist, looking for remedies that can never solve a false problem but only serve to justify the bureaucrats’ own existence (Our View: “Racism campaign has opportunity to educate,” Jan, 31).
