Reader's view: Lincoln Park could use ice rinks, too ­­­

Imagine the hope folks with children in Lincoln Park probably felt after the voter-approved parks levy. For a few dollars a month from everyone perhaps the Lincoln Park Recreation Area could have a decent sheet of ice on which to skate. A warming shack is already there. Also, there’s a great big field, big enough for two or three rinks. There never have been hockey boards there, in my memory, but kids used to be able to go there and skate for exercise and fun.
