Autopsy confirms Cook County courthouse shooter died of bacterial infection

Dr. Thomas Uncini, chief medical examiner of St. Louis County, said Thursday that the bacterial infection that caused Schlienz’s death is fairly common, but can become aggressive leading to invasive streptococcal pneumonia.
