For a time it seemed as though the demonstrators would get their goals met every time they went back to Tahir Square for another round of Friday chaos. After the velvet revolution of February, the masses appeared every Friday to demand the sacking of another minister from the old regime of former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. Their demands were met almost every time; one minister after another was removed from office and taken away to await trial.
