Tall ships parade without Sullivan

The boat, with a design reminiscent of a 19th-century Great Lakes schooner, docked in Houghton, Mich., overnight Tuesday after reports of 30 mph headwinds and six- to 10-foot waves. Not known for its speed, the Sullivan departed for Duluth at 11 a.m. Wednesday.Word count: 229
