Winter waning fast in Northland

Winter 2009-10 is coming to a screeching halt with April temperatures in March and no sign of a cold comeback or accumulating snow in the forecast. Temperatures in Duluth are nearly 10 degrees above normal so far this month. There’s also a good chance for rain or freezing rain tonight and Wednesday, and nothing ruins outdoor winter sport conditions faster than rain.Word count: 434
