‘Trial by Jury’ is a Victorian treat

“Trial By Jury” opened in March 1875 as the first operatic collaboration between William Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan. As a manageable one-act production, it probably has been staged yearly ever since. Under the loving direction of Jill Hoffmann and Chris Nollet, a.k.a. Rubber Chicken Theater, this hilarious farce about falling in and out of love came to Cloquet last night.
