Former dispatcher suspended for mishandling 911 call

A former emergency dispatcher has been suspended for mishandling a slain college coed’s 911 call. Topf Wells, chief of staff for Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk, said Friday that Rita Gahagan will serve a three-day suspension without pay from her current job as a county child support clerk. Gahagan’s immediate supervisor will decide when she must begin the suspension.Word count: 440
