Smelly cleanup for a good cause

Local residents volunteered time Monday to clean up dead fish at Lake Shetek, an event organized by resident Mark Slettum. According to Christy Riley, Murray County Community Relations, most of the fish that died are carp. Shown here, Noah Slettum, 11, hauls an armful of dead fish to a waiting tractor bucket, which transported the fish to be buried in a field.
