86,000 bulbs, movie-night specials highlight Salvation Army fundraising effort

Published 12/18/2009, West Central Tribune

Chad Koosman has doubled the number of Christmas lights he has on display at his home near Eagle Lake, and he’s inviting folks over to look at the lights and for a movie each evening this weekend. And it’s all to benefit the Salvation Army. Koosman told the Tribune last December he’d double the lights at his place and he now says he’s pretty close to meeting that goal. This year, there are 85,600 light bulbs, plus more than two miles of extension cords, in the display, which he estimates took about 600 man hours to build and put on display.
