Veterans Notes: Driver’s license dedication helps military veterans

It can be difficult for military veterans to prove they served in the military. The only federally issued military ID cards are military retiree ID cards and veterans ID cards issued by the VA for veterans with a service-connected disability. Veterans who served less than the required 20 years to reach retirement or who don’t have a service-connected disability are often left without an official ID card that proves they served in the military.
