Legislative change impacts healthcare for those with disabilities

Contract negotiations between PrimeWest and the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) may change some people’s healthcare plans starting January 1. A Minnesota statute, (265B.69 Subd. 28 (c)), states that “beginning January 1, 2012, the commissioner shall enroll persons with disabilities in managed care under this section, unless the individual chooses to opt out of enrollment.”
