Essentially, the reports filed by the utilities say the requirements are having little or no adverse impact on consumer rates, and will continue to have little impact over the coming 15-year period of the RES. The state’s largest utility, Xcel Energy reported that energy prices were 0.7 percent lower with wind than they would have been without wind.Word count: 505
