Commentary - Wind energy isn't increasing costs

Essentially, the reports filed by the utilities say the requirements are having little or no adverse impact on consumer rates, and will continue to have little impact over the coming 15-year period of the RES. The state’s largest utility, Xcel Energy reported that energy prices were 0.7 percent lower with wind than they would have been without wind.
