Your Schools: Standardized tests aren’t always the best measure of education

Recently I read a news story about a four-term school board member from Florida who took his state’s standardized achievement tests normally given to 11th grade students in order to see how he would perform. He’s an educated man, a retired teacher and father of five children and grandfather of two. Here’s what he said in part about the test experience:Word count: 1058
