New budget includes provisions to allow bail bondsmen in Wisconsin

-- It appears that Wisconsin will soon have a privately-run system to make sure criminal defendants don’t miss their court appearances – and find those who do skip out. The proposed state budget that was sent to Governor Scott Walker last night would bring back a network of bail bondsmen – something Wisconsin did away with in 1979.
