Earth Day celebration for trees, nature
Published 04/25/2012, Park Rapids Enterprise
Nearly a dozen people gathered at a small pine grove above a beaver pond on The Delpha Hays White School Forest land to celebrate Earth Day Sunday, April 22. The group sang and recited poems and blessings to Mother Earth and the trees led by Jeanne Troge. They thanked the trees, directions and the earth during the ceremony. They also asked for healing for the earth. Afterwards people wandered the woods for a while and then came back to Sophie's Heart Labyrinth and walked its Celtic Double Spiral. It was a bit chilly but organizer LuAnne White said she only found one wood tick.Word count: 0
