Flood cleanup begins in Sawyer

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers began flood cleanup work in Sawyer, N.D., and Barnes County Tuesday and anticipates being done by the middle of next week, weather permitting. Work in Sawyer, N.D., consists of removing clay material added to the top of a permanent flood levee during the spring flood fight. The Corps awarded a $70,750 contract on Friday, to Harvey Sand and Gravel of Harvey, N.D., to complete this work.Word count: 183
