Rove induction subject of dispute

A North Dakota Democratic spokesman says Gov. John Hoeven should be “ashamed and embarrassed” about the induction of former White House political adviser Karl Rove into the Scandinavian-American Hall of Fame in Minot. Hoeven’s spokesman says the governor isn’t even going to the event. In a statement, party director Joe Aronson labeled Rove a “political attack dog” and said Hoeven should be held accountable for “rewarding” Rove. Democrats in Congress have been investigating Rove’s role in the dismissal of nine U.S. attorneys in 2006.Word count: 176
