Mosquito numbers down

Mosquito numbers are down so far this year, officials said, but that likely won’t last for long. This year’s cool June weather as well as prevention efforts mean mosquito levels aren’t as high as they were this time last year, said Steve Reidburn, vector control officer for the city of Jamestown. Reidburn has been larviciding throughout the city to inhibit the growth of adult mosquitoes.Word count: 442
