What we think: Never hesitate to get help with flood stress

Residents throughout the area were flooded with more than water when the levels increased at the dams and the James River overflowed. They were flooded with emotions including stress, anxiety, guilt and fear of the future. These reactions are normal, mental health professionals say, but if they last a long time or are too difficult to handle, consider seeking professional help.
