Alleged drug dealer ordered to halfway house

Prosecutors say a man known as a career criminal should not be allowed to stay in a halfway house until his trial on charges of distributing crack cocaine, but a judge says she will give him a chance. Anthony “Big Tony” Walker, 48, has pleaded not guilty in federal court to charges of conspiracy to distribute and distribution of controlled substances. Prosecutors said he has been in trouble with the law for the last 26 years, and has a half-dozen felony convictions.Word count: 369
