Flu-related deaths higher than average

The state Health Department said North Dakota had 496 flu-related deaths last season. Michelle Feist is the influenza surveillance coordinator for the health department. She said the state averages about 400 flu-related deaths annually. Most of the deaths were people age 65 and older.Word count: 103
