Discovering Dakota | A peaceful day in Streeter

Standing at home plate at Mackin Ball Park in Streeter, N.D., where past the outfield I could see acres of never-ending prairie, I couldn’t help but think of the movie “Field of Dreams.” There weren’t any cornfields in sight, and “Shoeless Joe” Jackson was nowhere to be found, but it just had that feel of a rural baseball field that had something special. Like in the movie, they built it, and I came.
