City debates intern funding

With the mayor voting against, the City Council’s Finance and Legal Committee approved $3,000 to help pay for an intern to work with the Community Connections Committee. Mayor Clarice Liechty said the $3,000 in funding should come out of the Jamestown/ Stutsman Development Corp. operations budget. JSDC Chief Executive Officer Connie Ova said a Jamestown College intern is being hired to work with the committee on bringing city businesses and college students closer together.
