West Nile cases down from 2007

North Dakotans didn’t care much for June’s cool, dry weather, but neither did the culex tarsalis mosquitoes that carry West Nile Virus, according to Michelle Feist, West Nile surveillance coordinator for the North Dakota Department of Health. “Last year, in 2007, there were significantly more cases (of West Nile) in June,” Feist said.
