Taber Hall to get facelift

Taber Hall at Jamestown College showed its age. At 95 years old, the stairways creak, the bricks need repair and the entrance and lobby aren’t making the first impression they once could. But at a price tag of about $1.3 million, Jamestown College officials weren’t sure how the college could afford to keep the building open, despite its role in the college’s history. Every student who has ever schooled at Jamestown College has been through the building, said Bob Badal, Jamestown College president, and Taber Hall is the oldest of the college’s buildings still in existence.
