Taxable sales and purchases rise in city

While not as robust as the statewide increase of nearly 42 percent, Jamestown saw about a $4.5 million spike in taxable sales and purchases from the second quarter of 2011 to the same time in 2012. This according to a report released Wednesday by the North Dakota Tax Commissioner’s Office.Word count: 727
