Published 09/21/2012, The Jamestown Sun

The Jamestown Regional Airport Authority learned Wednesday at its meeting that the wetlands mitigation project has been awarded a grant to move forward. The Federal Aviation Administration awarded the airport $136,800 to transfer wetlands located on the southeast side of the airport. “The objective is we’re going to transfer them,” said Matt Leitner, JRAA manager on Thursday. “We’re going to fill in the wetlands here at the airport and fill in a grid elsewhere.”
