Anna Marie Korynta was, by all accounts, a pretty, outgoing young woman with dozens of friends who was liked by almost everyone that met her. It was shocking, then, when the 19-year-old Fisher, Minn., native was found brutally stabbed to death in her basement apartment in downtown Grand Forks during the early morning hours of May 11, 1987.Word count: 1357
