Jays push Pats: But Century holds on for 5-3 win

Bismarck Century hasn’t lost to a West Region team in the regular season since Dec. 22, 2009, but take away a sloppy first period by Jamestown and that streak could have reached its end on Thursday night at Wilson Arena. The Patriots scored two quick goals in the opening period and that proved to be the difference in the end as Century edged out the Blue Jays 5-3, which included an empty-netter with 40 seconds remaining to cap Alec Rauhauser’s hat trick.
