Oil Patch generating innovative solutions

As crude oil production continues to intensify in western North Dakota, new concerns and issues surface. Who would have thought that disposing of wastewater from small and large man camps would be a problem? But consider: As nearly 510,000 barrels of oil a day are produced in the state’s oil patch, workers create another 500,000 gallons of sewer water with only limited means to process or get rid of it.
