Tourism strong in 2011

Officials are considering 2011 a good year for tourism in the Jamestown area. A total of 171,000 people visited the community, according to Nina Sneider, executive director of the Buffalo City Tourism Foundation. “We had 171,000 visitors and you can’t complain about that,” she said. “In 2010 we had the naming of the buffalo and that boosted numbers up to 219,000, which was huge.”Word count: 531
