JPD to start 2012 without a chief until one is hired

The Jamestown Police Department will not have a chief or interim chief for at least a few days, according to Jeff Fuchs, city administrator. Dave Donegan is retiring from the post after 17 years as chief and 37 years with the department. He announced his retirement in October with an effective date of Dec. 31.
