The Jamestown hockey program will host its first ever ‘Teddy Bear Toss’ tonight at Wilson Arena

Last season, there was one victory that didn’t sit well with Jamestown boys’ hockey coach Matt Stockert. In a West Region matchup with Mandan, the Braves scored the game’s opening goal less than a minute into the contest. Not only was the goal tough to swallow because of the early deficit, but the score set off a sea of blankets flying out onto the ice as part of the first annual charitable fundraiser “Blanket the Ice,” where fans heaved blankets, that were either brought or purchased at the game, out onto the rink after the game’s first goal.
