Local rescue group takes in 16 puppies

Snowing cats and dogs isn’t always a good thing for the cats and the dogs. A cold, snowy winter, like this year, can be dangerous to furry friends left to un-insulated buildings and cages similar to chicken coops. Raising purebreds to sell, some breeders don’t take the best care of the animals, especially in winter, said Becky Johnson, one of the organizers of Prairie Paws Rescue.
