JRCC announces promotions

James River Correctional Center has announced the following promotions: Connie Hackman-Rivinius was promoted from training officer to chief of security effective Dec. 15. Hackman-Rivinius started working with the Department of Corrections as a correctional officer in May 1995 at the North Dakota State Penitentiary in Bismarck. She was promoted to the position of caseworker in July 1997. In May 1998, Hackman-Rivinius was promoted to lieutenant and moved to Jamestown when the James River Correctional Center opened. She assumed the duties of correctional case manager in June 2001, when the fifth and sixth floor housing units were opened.
