Missouri making big hydropower recovery

BISMARCK — Hydro-power production is projected to make a big comeback on the “Big Muddy.” Electric power generation by Missouri River dams is forecast to be above average in 2011 for the first time in a dozen years because of more mountain snowmelt and wetter weather, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, which manages dams and reservoirs along the 2,341-mile river.Word count: 543
