Basilica choir to perform cantata

The St. James Basilica Choir will perform “The Mystery and the Majesty,” a cantata by Joseph M. Martin, at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the basilica. The 23-member choir will perform long-standing carols set in a modern “Lessons & Carols” arrangement by Joseph M. Martin along with original songs by the composer. Carols will include “It Came Upon A Midnight Clear,” “Joy to the World,” “The First Noel,” “Angels We Have Heard On High,” “Away In A Manger” and others. The original songs will include “Advent Proclamation” and “The Beautiful Impossible.”
