Local Boy Scout troop plants trees

Black Hills and Meyer spruce now landscape the lawn just east of town, and as they grow, the trees will block snow and winds as well. About a dozen members of Boy Scout Troop 163 planted 265 spruce trees as well as aromatic sumac shrubs near Jamestown’s waste water treatment plant as part of 14-year-old Grant Curtis’ Eagle Scout project.
